The EU Council has extended sanctions against Russia until January 2025, which include:

  1. Limitations on trade, finance, technology, and dual-use goods.
  2. A ban on the import or sea transfer of crude oil and certain petroleum products from Russia to the EU.
  3. De-SWIFT measures for several Russian banks.
  4. Suspension of broadcasting and broadcasting licenses in the EU for several Kremlin-funded media outlets.

The EU Council states that as long as Russia continues its war in Ukraine:

  1. Existing sanctions should remain in effect.
  2. The sanctions list should be expanded as necessary.
