On 11 April, The President of Ukraine adopted 2 Decrees on sanctions imposition.
By the Decree #229/2025 sanctions were imposed on 59 individuals for 10 years for the first time.
Among the sanctioned persons are 57 Russian citizens and 2 Chinese citizens.
The sanctioned persons are associated with the ‘shadow fleet’ of the Russian Federation.
All of them were permanently deprived of state awards of Ukraine.
By the Decree #230/2025 sanctions were imposed on 71 individuals and 18 legal entities for 10 years for the first time.
The individuals are citizens of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.
The sanctioned individuals are military correspondents, journalists, TV presenters and persons who spread false information about the war in Ukraine and justify the aggression of the Russian Federation.
The sanctioned legal entities are the Russian and Belarusian news agencies and media covering military events in Ukraine.
Sanctions were also imposed on:
- Viktor Medvedchuk’s public organization in Russia – Another Ukraine.
- Ukrainian news agency Novoye Vydannya.
All sanctioned persons have been deprived of state awards of Ukraine for life.
