Sanctions for 10 years have been imposed on 18 individuals and 36 legal entities that are residents of the Russian Federation.

The sanctions target companies and their managers involved in mineral extraction in the Arctic and the development of energy and industrial projects.

Sanctions for 10 years have been imposed on 14 individuals and 57 legal entities.

Those subject to sanctions include managers of strategic enterprises, defense forces, and representatives of diplomatic institutions.

Among them are:

  • Oleg Osipov, former press secretary of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev
  • Maxim Kryvonos, director of the so-called “Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol”
  • Cha Yong-bom – Lieutenant General of the Korean People’s Army
  • Vladislav Golovin – Chief of the General Staff of the Yunarmiya military-patriotic youth movement

Sanctioned companies are enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex and crypto exchanges that help circumvent sanctions.

Among them:

  • Grinex – a Kyrgyzstan-based crypto exchange that trades ruble-backed tokens
  • Litasco Middle East DMCC – a subsidiary of sanctioned Lukoil in Dubai, one of Russia’s largest oil companies
  • Horizon (Belarus) – an industrial holding company that brings together a wide range of manufacturing industries
  • Chinese and Hong Kong companies that manufacture and supply electronics for Russian military equipment

The decrees were adopted in line with the 19th package of EU sanctions.

The information was made public by the Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy and the Office of the President of Ukraine.
