The President of Ukraine has lifted sanctions against a former top executive of an international financial group. The decision concerns our Client – a French citizen represented by VB Partners.
February 2023 – Sanctions were imposed on the Client, allegedly due to his membership in the management body of a Russian bank.
The VB Partners team challenged the decision with the Supreme Court. We demonstrated that this information was inaccurate, and the State failed to provide evidence to support such allegations.
February 2025 – The Supreme Court upheld the VB Partners’ position and stated that the restrictions had been imposed on the basis of unverified information.
October 2025 – The President acknowledged the erroneous nature of the sanctions and lifted them by his own decree.
