The results of the international ranking Chambers Europe 2022 have been announced – VB Partners confirmed the leadership in White-Collar Crime practice. Nowadays Chambers and Partners has been deeply saddened by the events in Ukraine: “our sincere thoughts are with everyone that has been affected”.
The Europe 2022 guide was researched from March 2021 through to November 2021. Therefore, the ranking confirms our pre-war results, but we continue to do our job in this difficult time.
Chambers once again marked the team’s significant track record of advising on alleged white-collar crime in the banking sector, with particular experience representing the shareholders of banks. Our legal practice is also well versed in criminal investigations, including the representation of political figures as well as private shareholders and companies. The team of VB Partners is adept at handling cross-border matters that require international cooperation.
It is especially gratifying that this year’s ranking includes three partners:
- Denys Bugay (Band 2) moves up the rankings due to strong market feedback. He is well regarded for his representation of clients in the banking sector on issues such as alleged embezzlement, fraud and tax evasion.
- Oleksandr Lukyanenko (Up & Coming) is known for his representation of banking clients in matters relating to white-collar crime, while also assisting with cross-border investigations, including work related to Interpol.
- Denys Shkarovsky (Up & Coming) enters the rankings on the back of solid market recognition. He advises on white-collar crime matters for clients across a range of industries including energy. Clients describe him as “hard-working and very personable,” as well as possessing “strong research skills and offering excellent client service.”
We have once again confirmed that choosing the boutique format was the right step towards success. Every year VB Partners improve ranking results, and this is incredibly motivating for new achievements!
